  1. Someone at work gave me 2 free "play all day" passes valid any 1 day until September 19th for Ontario Place.

My understanding is that I probably wouldn't want to play all day at Ontario Place, what with all the stupid kids around.

Stupid babies need the most attention!

Anyway - if you think you might use these passes, let me know.

  2. Oooooh...such crime!!

VANCOUVER, B.C. (CN) - An Internet dating site that caters to people looking for extramarital affairs has sued a pair of Los Angeles residents for trademark infringement, claiming the defendants are running websites that claim the plaintiff's service is a scam. Avid Dating Life sued Dennis Bradshaw and Lena Karachun in British Columbia Federal Court.

Avid Dating claims that Bradshaw's and Karachun's registration of the domain names "ashleymadisonsucks" and "ashleymadisonscam" should be revoked because they are confusingly similar to Avid's trademarks.

Avid Dating seeks nearly $75,000 in damages and wants Bradshaw and Karachun to destroy or deliver infringing material and transfer the rights to the domain names to make Avid Dating Life the "unfettered and complete owner" of the domain names.

On its website, Avid Dating Life touts AshleyMadison.com as "the world's premier discreet dating service" with more than 5 million members since its launch in 2002, making it "one of the fastest growing dating websites in the world with members from across the globe including USA, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand."

"Studies show that over 50% of Americans have in fact cheated on their partner at least once. Therefore, people are looking for a way to engage in extramarital relationships without getting caught and this is where AshleyMadison.com comes in," according to the website. "The service provides a safe and secure place to meet other individuals in committed relationships who are looking for the same thing you are - a discreet affair."

Avid Dating Life is represented by Corey D. Steinberg with Double Diamond Law Corp.

  5. If you'd like 4 tickets to the Jays game tonight (a game they'll likely win, as they've beaten the Orioles 10 games straight, including last night), email me:

    julia.mcallister@rci.rogers.com

Tickets must be picked up at One Mount Pleasant before 6 pm!

Note: If I don't actually know you, please indicate in your email who you are on the board - random emails from people with whom I'm unfamiliar saying, "Hey, can I have those Jays tickets?" aren't all that endearing to me.

    :)
