  1. Wayne Coyne was in my dream last night. WTF?!

I was being interviewed by all sorts of news outlets, "When did your hatred of Wayne Coyne first begin?"

For the record, I don't have any strong feelings about Mr Flaming Lips, one way or the other.

  2. 2 Free tickets for this Sunday's Jays game vs the Giants up for grabs!

And I have 4 tickets each for Tues/Weds/Thurs games next week - also FREE!! I think they're playing the Cardinals (tix are in my desk at work and I don't care enough to google it since I'm obviously not going to the game).

Yes, the G20 is happening, traffic will suck.

    But hey - free tickets!

Oh, and, Raptors Dance Pak member Candice will be your waitress, if you're into hot chicks serving you drinks.

Anyway - let me know if you're interested. Obviously, if you want the Sunday tix, gotta know sooner rather than later...

  3. Looks like it is a webcast too?

    www.twostonethrow.com

I think that's ALL it is, isn't it? That twostonethrow web site has the location listed as a studio space and the website says that they're broadcasting live, but doesn't list info on actually going there (or am I missing that?)

  4. And this is why I love my hometown media...

Strange Creature Found in Northwestern Ontario

Big Trout Lake First Nation is getting a lot of attention, on the Internet.

Reports from the remote Northern community say a strange creature was pulled from a local creek earlier this month, a creature some are calling a monster.

Photos of the furry, bald-faced something were posted on the official website of the Big Trout Lake community and have since caused a flurry of speculation on the Internet.

According to the website, two local nurses were hiking near the creek when they noticed their dog sniffing something in the water.

The dog pulled the 30-centimetre-long dead creature from the water and the two women snapped some photos of it.

While some think it may be kin to Ogopogo or the Loch Ness Monster, others say it looks like a water-logged bear cub or otter.

This was actually covered in the Globe...and it has pictures...

  5. "Get it On!"

Before you head out on the water, "Get it On".

The Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Natural Resources are behind a new campaign geared at fisherman who don't wear life jackets.

Outdoor Writer Gord Ellis says there's no excuse for not putting on a personal flotation device.

Last year, 2-people in Northwestern Ontario drowned in area lakes.
