The service was performed by Aubrey Ghent, a pedal steel guitar player, who is also an ordained minister. The newlyweds are expecting their first child, a son, this spring.I bet this kid will come out jamming. With almsot no women guitarists out there, Susan's a good blues talent - along with Ottawa's own Sue Foley. I believe Derek is a lot younger than Susan too? TheSloth Posted December 8, 2001 Report Share Posted December 8, 2001 Susan Tedeschi was born in 1970 (still way old enough to be a mom, just not Derek's mom - Im guessing hes 21 now). The only reason I even know this is I checked it out when I heard they first started dating (i would have sworn she was 40+). Anyway Im glad for the guy cuz it must mean hes happy, which is one more emotion than I thought he had. Thats not a knock, hes just the most stone faced guy ive ever seen on stage.
