NewRider
Guns N' Roses - Air Canada Center - November 29th I'm gonna start poofing up my hair now!!!
Jaimoe
I think that one of Axl's intents with this GNR was to gather musicians that no one would ever think of as being capable of being in GNR. I mean, the other guitarist in the new GNR is from NIN. Where did that pairing come from?
gentlemonkey
NO WAY!!! I hope Axl started working out after that MTV Awardshow disaster.. seriously, that was an embarrassing preformance. (mostly on his part) the other guys were a great cover band. hopefully they play lots of new stuff like that that beautiful ballad they played on MTV. . maybe the whole show will be a 15 minute medly.. all these are possibilities. bradm
quote:Originally posted by gentlemonkey: maybe the whole show will be a 15 minute medlyGiven Axl's penchant for walking off stage early in a huff at the slightest provocation, that's a likely scenario... Jaimoe
Fuck Axl. I want a solo Buckethead show. That would be fucked-up cool.
bradm
I want a Praxis show...Buckethead, Bootsy, and who was the drummer? Bruford? Aloha, Brad
Jaimoe
Hey Bradm, the drummer in Praxis is Brain ( Primus & the new Guns & Roses ). FYI, the bassist in the new GNR is Tommy Stinson from the great 80's band The Replacements.
bradm
Yeah, the new G&R has got to be one of the most incongruous band lineups I've seen. Buckethead, and a guy from the Replacements? With Axl? ISTR a cover article in Musician magazine about Steve Vai, with the banner, "When will he stop making bad metal for good money?" I wonder if that's why Buckethead's doing it. (No dis intended, but Buckethead & Axl is not the most easily-imagined pairing I can conceive of.) Aloha, Brad
