Man jailed for assault after Phish show http://www.saratogian.com/site/news.cfm?...17708&rfi=6 JIM KINNEY , The Saratogian 08/26/2004 BALLSTON SPA -- A Watervliet man will be sentenced to 3½ years in state prison and 1½ to three years of post-release supervision for his part in two assaults following the two-day farewell Phish concert in June at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Anthony E. Lee Jr., 19, of 808 14th St. pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to attempted second-degree robbery and second-degree assault, both felonies, Saratoga County District Attorney James A. Murphy III said. He was to have been arraigned Wednesday on a seven-count felony indictment. Lee's co-defendant -- 18-year-old Stephen M. Dellheim of 1834 6th St., in Watervliet -- was arraigned on felony charges Monday. His case is still pending, Murphy said. A 25-year-old concert-goer from Toronto told state park police he had an encounter with a small group of men in a parking lot near the Peerless Pool following the Phish concert Sunday, June 20. At about 12:45 a.m. on June 21, he has hit from behind. The man suffered a broken nose, two black eyes and lacerations. He said someone took his passport, driver's license, bank card, concert and bus tickets, sleeping bag and $250 in cash. Police arrested Lee and Dellheim about eight days after the incident. Lee was also accused of later hitting a downstate woman, who'd also been at the show, in the back of the head with a skateboard at the Stewart's Shop on Northline Road in Milton. The Phish concerts at SPAC were part of the Vermont jam band's final concert tour. Each of the two sold-out shows drew 30,000 fans and Murphy has described the weekend as a 'nightmare.' He said there were nearly 50 vehicle and traffic offenses and serious drug arrests associated with the shows.
