This is a universe where electronic and acoustic sounds blend together harmoniously, along with the sounds of the Earth and techno hybrids. Almost mystical in form, the use of sampling does not distort by instead redefines the musical intention where a drum’n’bass inspiration predominates. This gives way to a pleasant amalgam of urban and ethnomusical colours. The subtle mixture of techno, jazz and African and Arab rhythms makes for a charming web of influences. This new music is created by the composer and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Letellier, a former progressive rock guitarist who switched to electro. He is accompanied by Andréanne Alain signer’s, Gaétan Troutet on accordion and Shankar on tablas and percussion.
