3 mbps DSL question

I just placed an order for High-speed DSL. What types of upload/download rates do you get with a 3mbps modem? Thanks!

Depends on who you got it from, i work for Bell sympatico

with the 3 meg service you can very depending on your distance fmr the central offfice where your line card is installed

But you get between

4032kbs down stream over 800kbps upstream-3008kbps down over 800 up

Thanks Gr8Ful. What`s that mean in kBps? With my old dsl a few years ago, I got 16-17 up and 115 down. I expect this will be better, but how much? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I always get screwed up with the kb and KB (is it divided by 8?).

KBPS-kila bytes per second,Its something like divided by 8 but i cant remember exactly, sorry man!

Basically it'll be about 25 times faster than what u had before
