Chatham, Ont. -- An Amber Alert was issued last night for a 22-month-old Chatham boy who was reported missing by his mother.

"We believe this child may be in danger of being harmed," Chatham police Inspector George Flickweert said.

It was suspected that Donovan Gordon Clubb, a blond toddler with blue eyes, was with Shawn Tyler Palmer, 36, who police said was the mother's boyfriend. They said it was possible he was heading to Barrie.

The woman alerted police after she went to wake the boy at her south Chatham home in the morning and discovered he was gone, police said late last night.

As many as 200 officers searched throughout the afternoon, but failed to turn up any clues, Insp. Flickweert said. The alert was formally issued at about 10 p.m.

The boy was likely wearing a yellow Bob the Builder T-shirt with blue shorts when he disappeared. CP
