c-towns
Anyone heard of this band and have anything to say?The Pretty Things were severely underrated in their day (always overshadowed by higher profile bands like the Stones) but were, in retrospect, one of the great R&B bands who seemed to make the transition to spaced-out psychedelia with a few of the right tabs. Among the exciting and varied tracks on this comp. is virtually the whole of their seminal druggy concept album 'SF Sorrow' - the highpoint of their illustrious career. I think the SF Sorrow album was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios around the same time The Beatles were working on Sgt. Pepper's.
