Mr. Musicface Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 Nice! When are Wassabi back in Toronto? Nothing on their website yet for Sept. FYI RFASP are in Toronto at the Riv on August 9th. Peace, Mr. M
snarfmaster C Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 geez... my body can't handle enough mind-altering substances to the point where wassabi becomes good music. i may be the minority around here, but i cannot dig them.
Mr. Musicface Posted June 18, 2003 Report Posted June 18, 2003 It's all about the dancing - if you like to fling your body with reckless abandon, Wassabi is as good for doing it as anything I've encountered. But I can also totally understand how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. - M.
Jimi Didg Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Just Confirmed today: Calgary's Recipe from a Small Planet & Vancouver Islands Wassabi Collective are set to play at this stellar venue! The dates, however, are a little weak! RECIPE is scheduled for Monday August 11, and WASSABI is scheduled for Tuesday Sept 2! This is just a "heads"-up and a desperate plea for support. I know the dates are really far away, but you can never be to prepared!! Cheers!! And thanks for the Kick ass Birthday party last Friday!!
Jimi Didg Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 You're right, Wassabi isn't for everyone. It can be very repeditive unless you're in the dance zone. However, If Wassabi is not for you, you may enjoy Recipe from a Small Planet. These guys are all educated musicians trained in jazz etc. They are an extreeemely versitile band playing everything from reggae to dance to some kind of top-40 sort of "could be" hit! If you get a chance, come check out these guys in August. They all have great energy! P.s. can everyone help spread the word for me... weather you like them or not? Thanks a bunch!!
shainhouse Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 James, good luck on both shows, which I hope to be attending. You're a really good dude and you deserve 200 people to be at each show! Are you looking for an opener for the Wassabi or Recipe show dude? If so, lemme know.
