MarcO
I'd love to catch Metric sometime. I can't get enough of them and I imagine they must be amazing live. Damn.
Del
I've only seen Metric once, at Ottawa's Bluesfest, and they were amazing. A super high energy rock show. And Emily Haines has an amazing stage presence. I'd recommend checking them out if you get the chance.
shainhouse
Yeah, I saw them at McMaster back in September. Their London show on the 26th is not sold out.
StoneMtn
I'm glad I saw this thread.Metric will be playing for free in Whistler Village, but it's a series of shows, and I was going to skip this one. I thought they were just some mediocre local band. (They're from Vancouver, right?)Based on "One's" endorsement, though, I think I'll bail on work early that day and check it out. I took your advice on Slowcoaster, and they certainly delivered! I haven't stopped listening to them, since.Anyone else seen Metric before? Any comments? Schwa.
"Based on "One's" endorsement, though...." i wouldn't go so far as to capitalize his name, not worthy. btw one, you need to give me heads up on this shit in town man, i don't have a bradm to tell me when stuff is going on
guigsy
stonemtn: metric is from toronto - nothing at all like slowcoaster, if you're trying to make a connection. think indie rockin', power poppin', and new-ish wavin' - part of the bss family tree, and claims some of the sexiest vocals on the block. high energy show certainly worth checking out.
