Biggest Fan
I was wondering if anyone could explain the 'tax withholding' issue between Israel and the PA. I understand why, I just do not clearly understand what exactly is being 'withheld'?

Biggest Fan
I know I can come off pretty dimwitted, but from products that flow into or out of PA controlled areas??? I heard as such 'custom payments'(before), but never was able to figure out the exact relationship between the players involved (PA/ISRAEL)? Thanks
SmoothedShredder
The Geographical area of Gaza is smaller than Rhode Island... they have to import almostEVERYTHING, futher compounded by the fact that they are being forced of their farm land by that wall... everything has to go through Isreal before it gets to Palestine. They are not allow to fly planes in Gaza I think.Good luck trying to figure out "The exact relationship between the players involved." That'd be one hell of a Venn Diagram. Biggest Fan
That helps. I guess I am having trouble trying to understand why Israel is collecting duties on products traveling into areas such as Gaza. -n- then giving the money back to the PA???
