I'd rather see David Wilcox again. in the pouring rain. Definitley not as good as last year, but Lure and Xavier Rudd will be a fun night.. and Oh Susanna w/John Henrys will be a nice day! Dr. J Posted March 30, 2006 Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 Invariably the reason Festival Directors cite for limitations in their line-ups is one of financial retsraint (I understand the music budget for this event was cut from 200k to 100k). Still, when you think about it: 100k for approx. 25 acts is $4,000 per act for a 60 minute set. A pretty good payday especially if you combine it with a club date. I think, in this case, any dissatisfaction with the line-up would have more to do with the taste of the Director than their financial budget. Drug induced music critics hail crap like Rush or The Hip simply to mock what Canadians are truley about musically. I'll will there to record the show.God willing.
