It turns out Spank Rock is coming to Hamilton next week.I know very little of this act, except that ninja tune/quannum generally signs good acts to their labels. Should be some quirky, experimental hiphop...Anyone up for some Spank Rock? Anyone know anything about Spank Rock?Anyone ever spank a rock? rock star? anything at all? He has said good things about the band and I have yet to hear them.I was thinking about going to the show until Final Fantasy was announced for that same night.PErhaps I will be ableto hit both shows up.Have you heard FInal Fantasy Craig? Posted April 8, 2006 Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2006 no i'm not really familiar with Final Fantasy, and probably won't make it to two shows on friday, but you never know. i've never seen a hiphop show at PJC. don't know what the crowd will be like... my current plan is to check out the spank rock show. They are blowing up huge right now, Same energy as early Beastie boys, probaly just as crazy. Fast, funky, beats. Spank Rock will be a straight-up off-the-hook party. Cadence Weapon, who is opening, is worth the trip alone.Google either artists' name and you'll see tons of press. SR and CW may both be too big for PJ's in the near future.
