AD
When I moved a while ago I had to give up one of my favourite possessions, my BBQ. So this week I bought a nice indoor contact grill.Made a steak last night but I'm looking to branch out. Tomorrow it's tuna steaks, but does anyone else have good ideas or recipes?I found some decent ones here , but I guess anything that's cooked on the BBQ can be cooked inside if it's small enough.Anyone have innovative ideas? jaybone
Any food you want to sear to keep the juices in would work great on an indoor grill. Scallops would be great. Try crusting a nice thick piece of halibut in almost anything (from almonds, sun dried tomato pesto, or olive tapanade are all things I have tried with success). Just throw it on the grill at a high heat, let it form a nice crust and then finish it in the oven. Careful not to over cook white fish. For a thick piece of fish I throw it in the oven at 425 for 6 min or so after I sear it. When it ready it should flake apart easily with a fork.
