if you are picking up radio on your amp, chances are its not your cables, its either the grounding on your amp or the grounding in your house.

worst case is that it is some component in your setup that is doing it. which would mean finding it and replaceing it.

any interference will get real bad especially if you throw a bunch of stomp boxes in front of your amp. the best way to do that is to use an effects loop designed to return the signal at the same amplitude back into the amp. every stomp box you put your guitar through degrades the sound and in the electronics world its not an addition thing its a multiplying thing, so not only does it degrade with one stomp box, but each one after that multiplies the one before it.
