At the time, the upstairs was licensed, so it was only 19+ and alot less crowded. I sat with MarcO and another friend, three rows back from the edge of the balcony, dead center stage, with cold beers and warm smoke for the night. While I disagree about the G. Love opener (I thought it was great!), I do agree that it was absolutely one of the best DMB shows I have ever seen - indeed, one of the most memorable shows I have seen, period. MarcO Posted September 7, 2003 Report Share Posted September 7, 2003 Yeah, no doubt about it. That 1996 Concert Hall DMB shows was one of the finest shows I've seen anyone put on, anywhere. A wonderful Spring evening. What I recall from the G Love opener (which I really enjoyed, I've kept up w/ G ever since) was the guy in the balcony not far from us who dedicated his energy for the entire 45 minute G Love set to screaming "This is the worst band I have ever seen!", "This band sucks!" and other thoughtful variations on this theme. headygouda???.....
