guigsy Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 26, 2007 yep, i did... i thought it was great! they were obviously having tons of fun. i really liked a lot of the new stuff live, picked up the disc and cant wait to give it a listen. actually, the show was all new songs except for Stay, Threw It All Away, and Its Easy... some of the new stuff sounded a lot more gritty compared to the last album... some crunchier guitar tones and thicker synth lines.. one tune even bordered on "spacey". i liked that they were taking more chances with the live show - one of the tunes had a breakdown that made me think of a heavy 'even rats' outro - and like i said, the fun factor seemed to be through the roof. they keyboard solo in "its easy" was HUGE - i'd never seen a guy give a keyboard the pete townshend windmill treatment before! fuckin hilarious. also, i think it musta been laundry day for the band... out with the all-white attire, in with the red t-shirts and blue jeans. and DEM, i am in the ottawa area now... i'll do my best to keep myself visible.
