why can't i make a reply

M posted a thread in The Slip forum about Brad and Andrews side project (Super Little) playing in TO w/ The Stills

I have made a few attempts at replying to the thread and it won't let me.

Here's the message I got every time I tried.

The following problems were found with this form:

The subject is too long.

what gives?

I didn't write the damn subject!

The problem is that the person who created the topic set the subject to be pretty long; it's not too long (otherwise the originator would have got an error when it was created), but when you try to reply, a "Re:" gets stuck in front of the subject (as the subject of your reply), and with it, the resulting (reply's) subject is too long.

Until the originator of the topic (or an admin) shortens it, there's nothing you can do.
