For the past week, rumours have buzzed about Bruce Springsteen bringing his E-Street Band to Copps Coliseum in March as part of his North American tour promoting his new album, Magic. "Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band are back and will perform in Hamilton at Copps Coliseum on Monday, March 3, 2008," tour promoter Live Nation announced in a statement for release today. Springsteen's band includes Clarence Clemons on sax and Patti Scialfa on vocals, as well as Steve Van Zandt and Nils Lofgren on guitars. Springsteen, known to his fans as The Boss, is touring with his band to promote the new studio recorded album, Magic, that was released last month. Concerts will also take place in Buffalo, N.Y., on March 7, and Rochester, N.Y., on March 6. Tickets for the Hamilton engagement, which range in price from $67.50 to $115, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at Copps Coliseum box office or through Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.ca or 905-527-7666).
