skelter
Sydenham St United Church is a phenomenal venue ... probably my favourite in town. I did two shows there with Hawksley Workman, one with Sarah Slean, one with Sarah Harmer ... brilliant acoustics.
organicmama
I got tickets months ago to see him this tuesday in TO-I'm really excited! I've wanted to see him for years! Country Joe McDonald is playing in august at the same venue, I was thinking about going to see him as well.
skelter
Country Joe would be pretty cool ... though I wonder how much he hates the Fish cheer now.
bONES
I saw both Richie & Country Joe back in `89 (i think) at some fest at Molson Park in Barrie. It was a bunch of the original woodstock performers...Canned Heat were there, Melanie, Ten Years After, etc.I remember they were both good (at least I thought so back then)have fun
organicmama
Wow!! The concert was amazing! Richie is still kicking butt-voice made of gold and intense strumming. His musicians were great as well. I got two signed cd's and am still mesmerized. ahhh...Also, I saw that country joe will be playing this years festival of friends in hamilton! Good free show. organicmama
I don't know the whole setlist-but there was...All Along the WatchtowerWishing WellHere Come's The SunWoodstockFreedomMaggie's Farmthere was some others on his more recent cd's that were very good. He was still pimped out with lots of rings, and managed to get in a big karate kick at the end of the show. Definately worth seeing!
skelter
Good shit ... it's tonight for me! whoo! I haven't been this excited about a concert in a looooong time.
skelter
WOWOWOWOW!What a great show ...I'm guessing we had a similar setlist ... he played a bit of Won't Get Fooled Again in the middle of Maggie's Farm which was pretty rad. There was also a song I'm guessing called 3:10 To Yuma that was great, I haven't seen the movie so I don't know if it's in it.Both accompanying musicians were incredible.Richie broke two strings, the second during Freedom, which gave us "sometimes I feel like a fffffff" which is pretty humourous.
