At least he lived long enough to record his songs and give strict orders to the band on how their last album, Katorz, should sound. Is Jason Newsted touring with them?

I got to meet him a number of times between 1987 and 2004.Jason Newsted still can't play, so their original bassist Blacky (played on every album up until 1991's Angel Rat) is doing the show. One of Piggy's best friends, Daniel Mongrain, has agreed to play guitar too. He's amazing and one of only 3 guitarists Piggy approved to replace him in the band apparently.
