Check out the Sun Ra DVD coming out at the end of this month. It's called 'Space is The Place" - it's a 1974 concert film and it is amazing. It's on a DVD label called Plexifilm, look them up online.

Sun Ra was a musician/musical philosopher from Saturn. He's no longer with us, having returned to Saturn some years ago. His Arkestra, however, continues to perform under the leadership of Marshall Allen. If you ever get the chance, go see them - I caught them at the Guelph Jazz Festival a few years back, and they were one of the highlights of the whole year for me!
