Hux
Anyone been? It's the place where they cook the japanese food on the table (Teppanyaki), only one in Ottawa. Shogun
Freak By Night
I ate there recently. Two thumbs down. The performance was entertaining, but all the food tasted the same. Overpriced too. Stick with the Caribbean Flavours!
bouche
I went to a beni hana once, and it was unremarkable. More show than good food for the price. Now, that doesn't speak for this place, but I would bet that it is very similar because Beni Hana made lots of money on that.
Hux
But Freak by Night didn't you bash Carribean Flavours? How can I trust that kind of judgement!?!?! We're gonna give this place a go...
Freak By Night
I'm just saying, if you're going to that strip mall anyways, you'd enjoy CF over Shogun! Let me know what you think of the Shogun.
Hux
We had fun! The food was good, maybe the lowered expectations helped but we enjoyed the experience and would go back for sure. Had filet mignon and chicken + all the extras for $26, tons of food.
bouche
I was just recalling my Benny Hana experience and our chef was missing 2 fingers.
Freak By Night
Hey Hux, I'm glad your Shogun experience was better than mine. You didn't think the vegetables tasted the same as the meat? I think your definition of "tons of food" differs from mine - just ask Bouche. Ha Ha!
Hux
You didn't think the vegetables tasted the same as the meat?To a degree, but no more than any combo of things cooked the same way, ya know same oil/sauce/ whatever? Isn't that kinda the point?Maybe we should go back and then since you'll still be hungry head over to Carribean Flavours after for a roti??
