goldengrooves
had some problems watching some movies on my Mac, and I can't figure out how to change how videos are played on my computer. I would like to not use the quicktime player at all to watch these flicks...any suggestions on how I might go about changing this setting. Thanks in advance...P.S. it also seems that I cannot delete 1 movie because it says it's in use when it's not. A bud of mine told me that it could be continually seeding. Any way to delete this problem? Thanks for this info as well.

bouche
VLC is a program that allows you to play nearly any media file, including windows media files.http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.htmlas for seeding, if you are using bittorrent to download videos, you will not be able to delete the files on a computer until you've stopped seeding (sharing) the files. They are locked/in-use. That goes for windows AND mac. Just make sure you know how to use your bittorrent program and find the list of files being shared. Then ensure that you stop seeding the files that you want to delete.what program are you using for bittorrents?
goldengrooves
I use Vuze, and they are not seeding through that program...it's a mystery. When I drag the movie file into the trash and try to empty the trash it says it's in use. As for the VLC program, I'd ike to use divx I think but can't find how to change the settings on my comp. fug me.
