Dr_Evil_Mouse
Something for all the parents out there. If it wasn't bad enough that our politicians and news media constantly bombard us with messages that we need to give up all of our liberty and freedom so that we can be safe, now toy manufacturers are producing toys that prepare our children for life in the futuristic Big Brother technocracy that our society is quickly becoming. Playmobil has released a new toy set called the "Playmobil Security Check Point"which features menacing security guards dressed in black (looking quite fascist by the way), a metal detector and a luggage screening machine. Is it really necessary to teach our kids to be subservient to the brutal police state that we have constructed at such an early age?The following is from the manufacturer's own description of this toy set..... The woman traveler stops by the security checkpoint. After placing her luggage on the screening machine, the airport employee checks her baggage. The traveler hands her spare change and watch to the security guard and proceeds through the metal detector. While this may seem like a perfectly innocent toy to most people, the reality is that it is just another example of how even the youngest Americans are being conditioned to submit to the emerging Big Brother police state. Fascists thugs dressed in black will rule over us as we cower before our technocratic overlords - all in the name of safety. Do you think that we are overreacting to this toy? SaggyBalls
All of this added security and ever-worsening fines and consequences for carelessness and missteps in the way of safety legislation is ridiculous. It's very unsettling that enough people feel there is a need for more statutes and stiffer punishments in our modern world.Awful. SaggyBalls
I contend that while He'd have thought it to be a nifty idea, it is a far more left-wing concept than he'd appreciate. However - great Nazi reference, nibbler.I contend that this is the real center of the direction that our wold is heading (both politically and ethically, through our mind-numbing media and subversively brainwashing educational models and targets on our children):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_centralismAnd while a potentially useful tool, it only works when the system in which it is upheld is true and just......which is certainly not the case in this age of ours. nibbler
When your Playmobil Security Checkpoint finds a Playmobil security threat- simply send in the heavily armed and armored Playmobil SWAT team for backup. Move along, nothing to see here Edited January 3, 2010 by Guest
