I'm down in the absolute south of the photo and its been damn cold here! Brighton (city of about 300,000) has been at a virtual standstill all week, which has been interesting. My work has basically been optional all week.

I don't have any pics to post, but my little brother lives in the northern most part of Scotland and was saying it's the most snow he's seen there in about a decade.

I read The Coming Global Superstorm back in '99 and this weather even is very, forgive the pun, chilling. Give it a read. It describes a global superstorm beginning with events like this. Cold arctic air moves south and eventually, super-cooled air from the stratosphere breaks through which completely snaps the current system that regulates temperatures globally.
