Kanada Kev
Wow, 200th episode is on tomorrow night. By the looks of it, it should be fuckin' hilarious. The more celebritards that they carve up the better http://www.boingboing.net/2010/04/13/south-park-turns-200.html The Medical Marijuana episode a couple of weeks ago was killer! AllanK
Matt Stone and Trey Parker are being threatened by the Revolution Muslim. Teaching value of money and greed is important in life, this is one part of the show which is true. Just days of the South park cartoon show creators received death threats for their depiction of the prophet Mohammad; they went ahead and aired the next episode in line. However, Fox made sure this version was censored. The episode consisted of more "bleep" marks than expected and even censored out the picture of the Prophet coming out of the bear suit. Kanada Kev
Here's Muhammed dressed in a bear costume!!! hohoho Good on Matt and Trey for having the balls to take this on. Fox caved to the threats of one fringe radical group. The censorship that was used went to prove the point even more that this sort of thing is absolutely absurd. Do you see Buddhist groups freakin' for showing Buddha doing rails? It's good that the League of Super Best Friends is here to save the day. Last night's Simpson's chalkboard: South Park had another two-parter a few years back when the the residents of South Park went crazy at the thought of the Family Guy possibly was going to air an episode depicting Muhammed. Guest Low Roller
Why push the Muslims' buttons? They are hopelessly obedient to their interpretation of religion and fuckingcrazy.
Kanada Kev
Why push the Muslims' buttons? They are hopelessly obedient to their interpretation of religion and fuckingcrazy. Parker and Stone have always created their material with the attitude that everyone is fair game for roasting, ridicule, jabs, barbs, mockery, etc. I think that it's more to expose the ridiculousness of that application of 'obedience' within a certain sector of that faith. The fact that the fringe/radical groups within Islam (they are not the majority) can effect US network broadcasts in such a way is mind-boggling in the "Land of the Free." Compare it to the religious groups that oppose abortions and threaten doctors and pregnant women on a daily basis in the USA. Some have gone to the extreme and murdered doctors because abortion does not agree with their interpretations of their faith. Does it mean that Fox and the other networks cave and never depict or talk about the subject? No. Let's see how they manage "Everbody Draw Mohammed Day" http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=11&sid=313170#

Esau.
Revolution Muslim's (they made the threats supposedly) website which is based out of New York (go figure) was hacked the other day. Apparently in retaliation for the threats to the south park guys. The site has since gone back to normal now though. Not surprising, the site is pretty extreme to say the least. They have a picture of a dead Palestinian child killed in 2009, according to the caption he was apparently killed with a U.S. weapon that was paid for by fans of South Park and unmentioned by the U.S. media etc. Crazy shit. Site wasn't hacked, but rather substituted. The site in question was http://revolutionmuslim.com/ It wasn't hacked, but rather a parody site was set up in its place:http://revolutionislam.com/It appears that after this Revolution Muslim stuff went down, a site was created (which is referred to in this article) called Revolution Islam and loaded with the imagery offensive to Muslims.Ever since, media have been reporting that the site which threatened South Park (Revolution Muslim) has been hacked, incorrectly referring to Revolution Islam. What really needs to be reported in the MSM are the Muslim groups that do actively speak out against this sort of thing. For example:http://www.theamericanmuslim.org/tam.php/features/articles/south_park_episode/0018038
Esau.
ok, It was redirected, as the orginal link I clicked friday night was the first one you posted but it took me to the second link instead. So, there was probably some tampering involved. sql injection for example. But I'll blame every news outlet for the "hacked" idea.
