StoneMtn
What time do shows normally start there? Is it one of those early venues, or more like 10:30-11:00? It would be a mid-week show, if that makes a difference.
phishtaper
what is the event? it should say doors on the tickets (ie., 8:00). assume the first band will come on an hour after doors (ie., 9:00), the next band will come on about 60 to 90 min after that (ie., 10:00 to 10:30). or, to be sure, head out there early, ask, then go out for dinner in the area. i would do that
StoneMtn
It's The Buzzcocks tomorrow night, and the concert listing is saying 8:00. If that's realistic, then I'm not doing it. If it's not starting until like 10, I can do it.I have to find out if there's an opener.I've wanted to see this band for a quarter-century. StoneMtn
Aha!Some band called The Dollyrots are opening up, and on their MySpace page they "estimate" they'll play from 8 until 10. I think I'm finally seeing The Buzzcocks!
AD
Usually you can call the venue day of show and they'll tell you show times. Maybe it could work in this case...
phishtaper
cool. will be fun to finally see a band you've wanted to for so long, SM. pollstar says just these same two bands, so likely not a 3rd, but ya never know. enjoy! should be a sweaty night
StoneMtn
Uch. I had to forego the show. My life is too insane right now to squeeze in a concert.I will complain about this for the next 25 years, or until I do eventually see them. Big Wooly Mammoth
doesn't it suck when life get in the way of fun?are they any good w/o howard devoto? (like the English Beat, who are now Dave Wakeling and some brand new band. Although, they are quite good - saw them last week at the Shenkman. Ranking Roger and Everett Morton tour the UK as the Beat, which is their real name anyway.)
