This sounds very interesting, and the fact that its coming from Canterbury makes me think its going to be quality too......

The graduating drama class of Canterbury High School will be presenting their interpretation of Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible in a collective style show this August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This original piece is directed by Paul Griffin and was chosen as one of 60 out of 2400 North American high schools to preform at the fringe by the American High School Theatre Festival.

The students have been enrolled in Canterbury’s intensive drama program for the past four years and have participated in units such as mask, story telling, play writing, and directing, all of which they are using to create the Neon Bible Project. You can follow their progress by reading the student updated blog and looking at the pictures taken in rehearsals.

CJ and her mother are taking our daughter to it tonight, in no small part because she got accepted into the drama program at Canterbury for next year. I remember seeing their production of Wizard of Oz when we first moved here and it absolutely blew me away - ultra-professional on all counts.
