Two-for-one rides on OC Transpo on Wednesday

As part of Clean Air Day this Wednesday, June 2, OC Transpo is offering two-for-one rides all day. From their May 31 news entry:

Get a friend to try transit. Two people can ride OC Transpo and STO (Société de Transport de l’Outaouais) for one fare on June 2.

Show your pass or deposit your tickets or cash into the fare box and get a transfer for a friend. Show your friends just how easy, convenient and environmentally friendly it is to take the bus.

Choosing smart alternatives like public transit will save you money, benefit the environment and reduce traffic congestion. A regular bus carries the same number of commuters as 40 cars. That’s 39 fewer exhaust pipes and cars on the roads.

If you want to combine transit with a workout, why not get off a few stops early and walk the rest of the way? If you’re a cyclist, Bike & Ride or Rack & Roll (routes 12, 85, 95, 96, 97, 99, 101, 106, and 118).

People everywhere will be putting a special emphasis on environmentally sustainable transportation and the importance of public transit. So bring a friend and join us on June 2 for all the right reasons.
