However, the basic human problems of suffering, fear and tension still remain and form part of our daily lives. We are still constantly confronted with devastating news such as violence, crime, wars and natural disasters. Thus, it is only logical to try to strike a balance between material developments on the one hand and the development of spiritual, human values on the other hand.
