Lady Daisey (Brooklyn/Copenhagen) has toured internationally, winning over audiences with her playful mix of soul, jazz and down tempo hiphop.

Raised on the road, Daisey traveled the country with her parents' top-40 cover band. As a child, she was forever surrounded by all things musical and digital. She sang with her parent's band putting her own twist on Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson and Sister Sledge covers. The seed was planted... she was meant to be on stage.

Years later... daisey picked up the guitar and performed her originals at acoustic open mic nights. Her percussive rythms and odd melodies were the backdrop to songs such as "Fruit" (Heavenly Noise, 2003) and the hook for "Chicken" (Smile Rays, Rawkus, 2007) She played the Jacksonville circuit in a few bands, including Dovetonsil, Afterglow and Little Green Men.

Daisy later hooked up with Batsauce (Batsauce got BEATS, yo!!) and together and the pair started Heavenly Noise - a little funk, a little soul and whole lotta love - they were married in 2004. Joined by Therapy (of the AB's, formerly Asamov) the duo became a trio, the Smile Rays, with releases in Japan (Subcontact), Germany (Jakarta Records), the U.S. (6-Hole Records) and Rawkus 50.

This show is part of an extensive North American tour for the new album "In My Pocket."

It's about time for a fresh new Female HipHop & Funk Artist to hit the scene. On a worldwide tour, Brooklyn born & Berlin, Germany based Lady Daisey w/ DJ Batsauce have been making waves with their conscious & soulful stew.

Come celebrate their Toronto debut, this Wednesday, September 15th at Lula Lounge (1585 Dundas Street West, a block and half west of Dufferin on the south side of the street) Only a $10 Cover - starts at 8 pm goes till 12 am. Special guests include Larra Skye & Jessica Kaya
