Kanada Kev Posted April 1, 2011 Report Share Posted April 1, 2011 Kinda late, but for anyone who's interested they've got a stage and PA up and ready to go for over 7 hours of Hip Hop in the CBC building in Toronto.It's open and free:http://www.cbc.ca/toronto/community/hiphop.htmlReminder: The Hip Hop Summit CBC/Radio-Canada employees in Toronto are invited to attend an unprecedented event: The Hip Hop Summit - taking place today, Friday, April 1, 1:30 to 8 p.m. in the Barbara Frum Atrium, where Canada's pre-eminent artists, community groups and advocates join forces to celebrate over 25 years of Canadian hip hop and wrap up a vibrant month-long CBC cross-platform initiative This full day of hip hop goodness features performances by Thrust, DJ L'Oqenz, Q-rock, PG, the Big Norm Show with DJ Dopey, D-Sisive, Northbuck, Scott Jackson, Diana Reyes, plus a breaker battle and much more.Glenn Gould Studio will host in-depth panel discussions on the eternal coming of age story of Canadian hip hop, the difficult business of being a Canadian hip hop artist, and the creative content of Canadian hip hop and culture. Also featured will be the visual exhibition T-Dot Pioneers 2011: The Glenn Gould Remix, documenting the history of hip hop in Toronto. This will also be an opportunity to watch the video broadcast premiere of the historic hip hop summit performance that took place on March 29, featuring k-os, Kardinal Offishall, Shad, Saukrates, Classified, Maestro, Michie Mee, Red1 of Rascalz, Choclair, Dream Warriors, Ghetto Concept, Reema Major, Cadence Weapon, Skratch Bastid and more.
