it is a total monopoly that the Beer Store racketeers have going- unbelievable, really.

we should get together and do coordinated beer marches in our respective locations, drinking beer, burning bras, hoisting banners. All leading up to a giant collective piss on the front door of your local Beer Store.

Now that would send a message!

The last poll they took, that I recall anyway (circa 1990 or so) showed most were against it. Times change of course, as this poll of less then 1000 people shows (although it's really a small sample size to go by in my opinion). I'd like to see a province wide survey though, out of curiosity.

There are variety/corner stores already selling beer and liquor in Ontario though, of course those are mainly smaller rural towns, usually 15 minutes to an hour (or more) from a bigger city, so I'll assume that after 10-15 years of those operating there is probably a different outlook towards it from the general public.
