Hal Johnson
I'm looking for a device that is relatively cheap ($500 and under) and easy enough to use for the average person wishing to record some tracks of half decent quality. It will be made available to community members looking to do some recording on the cheap or even free. I would really appreciate some advice from you'se guys. Thanks! Right now, we're working with older technology Edited August 16, 2012 by Guest
bradm
You might try (joining and) asking athttp://www.taperssection.com(I'm on it, as "BradM".) The people there know tons of stuff/gear, and it has a great section of stuff being sold by members. It's also delightfully newbie-friendly.Aloha,Brad
Blane
how many channels (2-channel stereo? 4-channel multi-track?)Tascam, Sony, Edirol, Marantz and Zoom all have gear in that approximate range (say 500-700 tops) that might match your needs.
