Make sure your camera is ready as you can take many great shots. Take a waterbus along the Grand Canal. That's quite the sight.The food however does suck in Venice, or is very expensive, so I would recommend going to Lido island and eating at one of the restaurants on the main strip just opposite the waterbus station. It's unbelievably gorgeous here! Spent a couple days in Pordenone near the mountains north of Venice.
