Horror/Cult Movie Fans Step Inside...

This could be the greatest cult movie ever, even better than Bruce Campbell's current film: Bubba Ho-Tep ( movie poster seen below ).

Raimi in talks for Freddy vs Jason vs Ash

Posted on Mon, 1-Mar-2004

Horror fans are no doubt smiling at this news.

Dark Horizons receives solid work that both a “Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash” as well as an “Evil Dead 4” are in the works.

The deal here is that “Dead” creator Sam Raimi would have to loan the character of Ash to New Line, helmers of the “Freddy” sequel. And what does he get out of it he does? A fourth solo effort for Ash by the sounds.

“Jeff Katz has done a 20-page internal treatment. It brings back the "Ash" (Bruce Campbell) character from the EVIL DEAD franchise. New Line is negotiating with CAA/Raimi to see if they can get him into this movie, with the then intent to do EVIL DEAD 4. Shannon & Swift won't be doing this.”

No doubt Campbell’s still keeping mum though.

On that note. For anyone who lives in Toronto. A friend of mine was in the musical Evil Dead 2 and 3 at Tranzac club. It was hilarious. Such a spoof on the movie. They are going to be putting it on again so keep your eyes open

I've seen it twice, the first being at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was my favourite movie of 2002, including The Two Towers.

I'm going to see it tomorrow night at the Royal Theatre in Toronto @ 9:30.

Hail To The King baby.

Oh yeah, Ossie Davis as JFK needs to be seen to be believed.

Bubba Ho-Tep is Bruce's finest movie role to date. Kicks Evil Dead's ass, and I worship those movies.

Bruce plays a 70-year old Elvis who lives in a rest home and eventually battles a soul-sucking mummy. This movie has won international awards and has done extremely well in limited theatrical release. Bubba is funny, sad and warm-hearted, with no cheap laughs. Forget me talking about it, check out the website for proof of it's excellence:
