Jaimoe
Thanks for the Jaimoe alert. I'm working all weekend and I have to rehearse for my staff party when my shifts end. I have to learn the guitar for Kick Out The Jams ( MC5 version ) by the end of the weekend. I'll pass this info along to my old roommate and Hamilton ex-pat Stu. He's probably all over the Nash The Slash show.
paisley
Stu the bass player from Teenage Head? (blond haired guy?) I'm actually more curious what Mickey's solo stuff will be like, though I love a good Nash the Slash show guitar for Kick Out The Jams sounds like some good corny fun
Jaimoe
Actually, Stu was the drummer for The Dik Van Dykes - a Hamilton band of note in the mid 80's.
paisley
thats why I don't answer Hamilton's questions (pretty sure its the same name for the Heads bass player... had a few beers with him while he was playing bass for Kelly Grrrl) didn't the dick van dykes do "so its your birthday... who gives a shit...."? Jaimoe
They probably did that song. I lived with Stu for 4 years ( until last September ). He was pretty guarded about that band. He was proud of them, but he never played their albums for me. The one song I do know of theirs is " Harold Snepts " - about the infamous hockey defenseman.
