Thanks for the Jaimoe alert. I'm working all weekend and I have to rehearse for my staff party when my shifts end. I have to learn the guitar for Kick Out The Jams ( MC5 version ) by the end of the weekend.

I'll pass this info along to my old roommate and Hamilton ex-pat Stu. He's probably all over the Nash The Slash show.

Actually, Stu was the drummer for The Dik Van Dykes - a Hamilton band of note in the mid 80's.

thats why I don't answer Hamilton's questions (pretty sure its the same name for the Heads bass player... had a few beers with him while he was playing bass for Kelly Grrrl)

didn't the dick van dykes do "so its your birthday... who gives a shit...."?

They probably did that song. I lived with Stu for 4 years ( until last September ). He was pretty guarded about that band. He was proud of them, but he never played their albums for me. The one song I do know of theirs is " Harold Snepts " - about the infamous hockey defenseman.
