badams Posted September 12, 2005 Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed winger Michael Ryder to a $1-million US, one-year deal.The Habs open training camp Tuesday.Ryder was the last Montreal player to re-sign. The 25-year-old St. John's native was a nominee for the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the year in 2003-04 after scoring 25 goals and adding 38 assists in 81 games.He was Montreal's eight-round pick, 216th overall, in the 1998 entry draft.
