  1. And Baldwin is incredible. He has blown me away on that show. The writing for him is obviously brilliant, but his delivery is outstanding. Well deserved awards. "Smart" comedies like this (and Arrested Dev., etc.) just can't seem to cut it with the general network watching populous
  2. Show rocks! We don't need no stinkin' laugh-track.
  3. Have ya ever looked after 20 kids under the age of 5 or so? That ratio is atrocious. I'm not being a snob advocating ritzy private care facilities, but that's downright dangerous. You can't watch that many kids SAFELY. Those style daycares still exist, but they are "underground". If they were ever discovered by the powers that be, they'd be shut down in a second based on safety issues. In the past 6 years i've had 2 children and had to deal with the childcare system in this province. We've been fortunate and have found decent care for our children, but it hasn't been easy, and we had a bit of luck on our side. Trust me, that $100 (taxable too!) that was handed out starting 2 years ago is a drop in the bucket. For us to have 2 kids in a regionally run (meets standards, qualified staff, safety, etc.) daycare comes to almost $1400 a MONTH!!! Yeah, thanks for the chump change Harper. Now, the great thing at tax time is that you can claim those expenses and you get a nice chunk back. I'm all for that. I'd rather have tax incentives be laid out that way. It ensures that the money is being spent on child care at licensed facilities.
  4. Freedom of speech. It was a fucking OPINION PIECE!! NOT a balanced journalistic report. And since WHEN did the Americans give a fuck about what any Canadians think anyhow? http://jambands.ca/sanctuary/showpost.php?post/554013/
  5. WOW!! What a show is right. We were treated to some kickass music for sure. DOWN BY THE RIVER was definitely the highlight of the night for me. I'll toss up a couple of pics (i was too into the show and only took a few). Ole
  6. I think that a lot of the reasoning behind it not being widely advertised through the Grateful Dead and Allman Bros. camps is that they want to minimize backlash from fans that don't agree with their politics. On both bands' websites, and the concert poster, it's simply names of the individual band members who are listed: http://dead.net/features/news/rock-legends-play-obama-fundraiser http://www.allmanbrothersband.com/ It's not "The Dead and ABB" (although it really is )

  8. boohoo ... poor Fox News can't handle a foreign journalist writing an OPINION piece about Palin. WTF do they care?!?!?! http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/index.php?cl=9796194
  9. Precisely. When spending like that results in being worse off than the spender should get canned (Bush, Harper, etc.)
  10. [color:purple]But Booche, we're soooo much better off, better services, better economy, better etc. now since the spending has happened dontchaknow!
  11. Nice. I'd go to that in a heartbeat. That album was what first got me into Zappa. The white zone is for loading and unloading only ... Later . . . Central Scrutinizer
  12. Fuck yeah! Just gotta get through the day now ... will the wolf survive??
  13. Well done sir!! That seriously made me laugh this morning. Clever little shit you are
  14. I'd never give him grief for signing outside of Toronto (except maybe Ottawa ). I completely agree with ya Booche. The drawn-out time it has taken has gotten a lot of people just a little pissy
  15. they were just on Letterman. Good stuff!
  16. ^^^^ sounds good. Details details details (cost, where to purchase, setup, software, websites, etc.) Always looking for alternatives
