Some great looking matchups is right. I agree with you that Nashville is a very dangerous opponent right now against Detroit. That could be an upset for sure. Anaheim v Dallas should be killer. San Jose v Calgary could be a real bruiser, but if Calgary doesn't come out fast they could be done quick. Pit v Ott ... it's all about the health of both teams.
Cool venue. I caught the SCI Big Summer Classic show there a couple of years back. I'll post a few pics tonight if i can.
Well, it's a few nights later, but. Here are a couple of pics from the High Falls Brewery site from the Big Summer Classic in 2005.
I had a couple of all access passes via JonO (sound for SCI) and we hung out "backstage" for a while where my buddy Jim and I found a lonely keg of Heiniken. We proceeded to hang out there for a while and poured for anyone who wanted some. Good times
Didn't watch any of the game (full of BBQ ribs, vino, beer, rye, cupcakes, etc.) but i did flick it on and saw McCabe. Wanker. He'll look good in this next year:
Good riddance asshole
No way they'd take out a TOR v MTL game, even if it doesn't matter too much.
Now, IF Carolina hadn't BLOWN it last night, then hell ya, the WAS v FLA game would be wayyyy more critical (can you believe that CAR had 47 shots on net and 9 power plays to FLA's 17 shots on net and 0 power plays? WOW). Talk about choke
Nope, me neither. Way too nice a day out (now that sun is up until 8pm. Friends coming over for BBQ, drinking, tunes, etc. Wayyy more fun
Nursing a hangover tomorrow in front of the PIT v PHI game though i'm sure
The game tonight should be a joke. Habs have something to go for (first overall in the east) and the Leafs nothing. They couldn't get their shit together to try and spoil something that was big (Sens) so how the hell are they gonna get riled up for this one?
I predict a real sleeper tonight. The old "rivalry" won't muster up much of anything.
Get on with the post season already
Were Spezza and Heatley playing last night? Shit, one shot each on net for the offensive force they are? Damn, even Neil got 3 shots on net! (17 total for the team). Gonna need double that for the next round.
They sure didn't look very confident last night. But hey, they are IN one way or another and that's what counts. New season starts next week ... forget the regular season.
Hope all you guys get a chance to get to the games in the first round.
Hey Tonin ... won't be able to party at Grateful Fest like last year with ya, but this will do just fine Hope we can meet up there ... happy birthday in advance
Yeah, Heatly got Tucker's goat, poked at Toskala, and then wouldn't go. Pussy Tucker's pissed that it was most likely his last game against the Sens in a Leaf uniform
Pohl will soon enough be behind bars, wanting a drink, and wishing he had his cage
Looked to me like Alfie got more hurt from his head hitting the ice. His helmet popped off from the hit (he's little, he's low, his head was down) and it looked as if it banged against the ice when he landed. It was that hit that really got the Sens going last night. The onslaught really took flight after that. Has he been cleared for tonight's game?
