  2. Thanks for the tip!!! Totally appreciated. I just ordered the 670. Great deal. Can't wait until it arrives. Hopefully I'll see it by the end of the week. Thanks again for the info.
  3. Great fuckin' show last night! Didn't end up leaving my place until 7:30 and booked it in for the gig. Only missed the first couple of tunes after meeting a buddy and grabbing a couple of tix at the box office. Waters is never to be missed ... i still can't believe I didn't go to the KAOS show at Kingswood. I wish Roger would tour Amused to Death. I love that album. It All Makes Perfect Sense was awesome last night. Lots of new "visuals" last night compared to the previous show. LOVED THE BATTLESHIP EXPLOSION
  4. Booche is VIP dontcha know? Ticketmaster called HIM! He don't need to make no stinkin' calls
  5. Happy Birthday Mark. It was great meeting you last week (i'm sure we've been in each other's presence before). I was going to say something about your infectious smile too. You def light up da place. Time to have a cold one in yer honour Cheers!
  6. I've been meaning to get one for ages. Every now and then they go on sale at Future Shop and Best Buy. A couple of weeks ago they had one on for $79. I missed out on it If anyone sees these on sale please post. Whenever somebody stays at my place they completely fuck up my system due to all the remotes
  7. Wow ... this is a really wild early version of the Other One. Bobby's section has very different lyrics than "normal". I don't think I have ever heard it sung this way before: http://rhino.edgeboss.net/download/rhino/gdead/tapers/july9/thats_it_for_the_other_one_10_22_67.mp3
  8. enjoy ... they are a pleasure to watch. Get up close if you can. Super talented group of musicians.
  9. "Can I sit in front of you? Oh shit, I think I might be too HIGH!"
  10. Glad that I could help. Here's to a killer Police show. Come to Toronto for a gig. I've been reading you can get tix for next to nothing outside the venues. There's a flood of 'em on the "market".
  11. All I can think of is comic book guy at bluesfest in a lawnchair getting beligerent
  12. Buddy, pm me and I might be able to help you out.
  13. LOL ... I used to know Ed from Record World at Yonge & Eglinton. Worked for him the odd weekend. He'd let us borrow the boots, record 'em, and then bring them back in We even bootlegged bootlegs a couple of times. Got the plain white LP sleeves, tossed in a couple of ABBA albums from the $.25 bin, insert a photocopied 8x11 cover sheet then seal it in a plastic wrap. Go down to one of the shady LP stores on Queen West West and "sell" 'em for some quick in store credit. Man, it's easy to do stoopid things when you're 16 :)
  14. It's nice that most all of them are out there via torrent sites now I used to have a few of them myself. Still have a Grateful Dead double that was from the Shrine Auditorium '67 and sounds great.
  15. Interesting read on one famous concert taper and his dealings with the European bootleg labels and the law. Some pretty wild stealth modes for recording too http://www.sdreader.com/php/cover.php?mode=print&id=20070705
  16. Not to me. Don't revere Christina's comments as typical of all Torontonians. Shit like this just fuels the useless bickering about what city is "better" or "worse" than another. It's like arguing that Phish is better than the Grateful Dead. Stop reading the Sun (whether it be the Toronto Sun, Ottawa Sun, etc. ... pure tripe on newprint)
  17. Bozzio is a madman ... he's not on this tour though from what i know (which ain't much )
  18. She's from The Sun, what do you expect? The Newspaper designed for those who have a tough time reading sentences longer than 5 words. Let us know what she says: You can call Christina Blizzard at (416) 325-3971 or e-mail at christina.blizzard@tor.sunpub.com
  19. http://www.zappaplayszappa.com/ Who's going to the show in Toronto on July 30th at the Hummingbird? I'm getting stoked. The show last year was phenomenal and the musicianship was TOP NOTCH to say the least. They have just added some more dates to the tour this year and one of 'em is at the TOWN BALLROOM in BUFFALO :) http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall.pl?By=Artist&Content=ZAPZAP&PSKey=Y&Sort=Date&Date_From=Today&Date_To=07-12-2009&Market=N&Page=2 Newest dates: Wed 10/31/07 New York, NY Beacon Theatre Thu 11/01/07 Wallingford, CT Chevrolet Theatre Fri 11/02/07 Kingston, NY UPAC Broadway Theatre Sat 11/03/07 Atlantic City, NJ House Of Blues Sun 11/04/07 Lincoln, RI Twin River Events Center Tue 11/06/07 Buffalo, NY Town Ballroom Wed 11/07/07 Washington, DC Warner Theatre Thu 11/08/07 Richmond, VA Toad's Place Sat 11/10/07 Kansas City, MO Ameristar Hotel & Casino Fri 11/16/07 Denver, CO Fillmore Auditorium Sun 11/18/07 Portland, OR Roseland Theater Mon 11/19/07 Seattle, WA Paramount Theatre Tue 11/20/07 Vancouver, BC Orpheum Thu 11/22/07 Calgary, AB Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Fri 11/23/07 Edmonton, AB Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
