  7. The docs running on CBC and CBC Newsworld these days are fantastic. I highly encourage people to see them. Newsworld repeats them numerous times. Watched a good one I had recorded last night "Global Warming: Bush's Climate of Fear". Great/scary stuff. The shit that goes down (or doesn't) because it's an election year is mindboggling. I hate Dubya and his cronies more and more each day. http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/index.html Now if CBC would just do what they SHOULD do, and make all their programming available for streaming online, life would be better (but i can't get the monkeys at this place to listen).
  8. I'll get some posters up and around the CBC if you like. You never know who might see it and want to cover it. Somehow I can't see Mansbridge or Suzuki showing up, but you never know
  9. LOL ... Libras to rule .. and balance, it's all about balance dude hey, sure, it's Pierre's bday too, but don't forget Chuck Berry!!! AND Pam Dawber .

  12. http://www.glidemagazine.com/news3401.html String Cheese Incident Plans San Fran New Years 'Sea Of Dreams' Monday, September 25, 2006 After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Madison House, Anon Salon, and Peak Experience Productions will collaborate again for the Seventh Annual Sea of Dreams New Year's Eve event in San Francisco on December 30th and 31st. Like last year, cultural forces will unite for two freaky nights at the San Francisco's Concourse Exhibition Center for the biggest New Year's-weekend gathering on the west coast. Expect three stages hosting an incredible roster of live bands - plus cabaret and circus acts, DJs and dance collectives, performance troupes, and more. All set within multiple thematic environments, this event promises something for people of every tribe. Musical acts performing on the three stages include the groundbreaking independent rock band The String Cheese Incident (playing two full sets each night), British nu-school breaks producer Tipper, revolutionary underground artist Bassnectar, modern day traveling minstrel DJ Mark Farina, the down-tempo trip-hop dance music of Lotus, live electronic hipsters Pnuma Trio and plenty of others still to be announced. Performance troupe and dance collective participants include The Indigo Belly Dance, The Mystic Family Circus, Black and Blue Burlesque Anon Salon's Circularious, and others. In addition to the stage performances, expect art encampments, novelty zones, installations, midnight spectacles, supergames, and everything. For complete line-up and details as they become available visit seaofdreamsnye.com. Propelling the proceedings will be innovative entertainment booking and management company Madison House, and Portland, Oregon-based Peak Experience Productions. 16. Essential Clapton download: From this tour, and smoking FM board of a show in Italy showcasing Robert Cray on "old love" and Derek Trucks throughout. You can def get a sense of how EC is back to more ballsy rock. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=102873 Torrent file Eric Clapton 060707 Lucca FM.torrent (will be personalized for you upon download) Downloads as Eric Clapton 060707 Lucca FM Info hash 6a9a46a6cb2822cef4c9387ffde1e998723d7256 Description LDB Master Series #38 Hello, this is a collection of masters I would like to seed here. I've been taping shows for more than 20 years and have an awful lot of masters. Most of them are in the old cassette format, some others are on MiniDisc and others are on CD. I've taped many shows of many artists over the years, so don't be surprised if you will find many different artists taped! Some shows are already circulating, some others have not circulated through collectors yet. But most of all, enjoy! They all come from my mastertapes! Eric Clapton Lucca, Piazza Napoleone 7 July 2006 Rai Radio Uno broadcast (live) So Tired (fade in) Everybody's got how to move a change / Motherless Children Old love (with Robert Cray) Back home I am yours Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out Running on faith After midnight Little queen of spades Let it rain Wonderful tonight Leyla Leyla (part 2 - instrumental) Cocaine Eric Clapton - Guitar, Vocals Doyle Bramhall II , Derek Trucks - Guitar Chris Stainton , Tim Carmon - Keyboards Willie Weeks - Bass Steve Jordan - Drums The Kick Horns: Simon Clarke, Roddy Lorimer, Tim Sanders on Brass Michelle John , Sharon White- Backing Vocals Nice little set by Eric Clapton, I believe his first date of the tour, opening the 2006 Summer festival in Lucca. Italian radio broadcasts many gigs from this festival every year, unfortunately in its bad way. The nasty speaker talks after every single song and this drives me crazy! So I spent a remarcable amount of time to crossfade the music in order to remove the comments. Now it sounds much better. I just left one intervention by the speaker to give you an idea of how nasty it was all over the show. This is not the full set, unfortunately: some songs were not broadcasted such as the opener "Pretending", the beginning of "So Tired" and the last encore "Crossroads". I'm not a huge Clapton fan, I have to say, but I listened to this show and I enjoyed greatly. This is for you! 17. Totally agree with you. I remember picking this one up when it came out. It really grows on you and the songs all hold up very well to the test of time.
  18. He supposedly does reviews of horror films and music for a west coast mag.
  19. Just talked to a coworker and she knows one of the guys who got in the wring with the guy. Said he was nuts. He was able to get out without too much of a pounding because he spewed fake blood all over the place after the first punch !!
  20. 30 bucks? You can't go wrong. I want one too. And you can fly three at once! That would be awesome. Group order anyone?
  21. One of these days it'll get up on to Youtube I'm sure .
  22. Man, would it cool to have one of these or what? Great for festivals and flying over the crowd Check out the link to watch a video: http://www.therawfeed.com/2006/09/vr-gear-makes-rc-airplane-coolest-toy.html A Canadian RC airplane enthusiast shows us some sweet unanticipated convergence between a model RC airplane and virtual reality gear. It works like this. The airplane is a conventional one, controlled by a wireless remote control. On the airplane is a pan-and-tilt camera, controlled also wirelessly. Here's the cool part. The video is viewable through virtual reality goggles, which have a gyroscope built in to sense the movement of the goggles. When the wearer moves his head, the camera moves. Tragically, this is not a product, but a DIY project. (props to Gizmodo)
