I've seen plenty of foxes in the daylight too, unless you have other reasons to suspect rabies I wouldn't worry too much about that guy. Probably just took a wrong turn somewhere on his/her travels.

No additional discipline. Gryba gets 2, Bourque gets nothing. No comprende.

According to the staff at Babylon, the band showed up, decided the venue wasn't big enough and left.

Both Centrepointe Theatre and Shenkman Centre are great venues. That Algonquin venue looks great too - wonder how it sounds?

Suspicious recovery? Go on...

I hope Will Oldham comes near Ottawa this summer. I see he's playing the Dawson Music Festival in the Yukon, that's cool. His new-ish album with Dawn McCarthy is Everly Brothers covers, done very well.
-
That looks really good.

Ah, so I'm not crazy...
The dates were briefly revealed on Bob Dylan’s website before they were taken downNow to decide - SPAC, or Toronto the night after Bluesfest finishes?
-
Exclaim has dates for the tour but SPAC isn't on that list.

The dates don't show up for me....

Sweet, I hope that comes within a 45 minute drive of my house!

Here's the quote:

Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria include the influence and significance of the artists’ contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll.
The Foundation’s nominating committee selects nominees each year in the Performer category. Ballots are then sent to an international voting body of more than 600 artists, historians and members of the music industry. Those performers who receive the highest number of votes - and more than 50 percent of the vote - are inducted. The Foundation generally inducts five to seven performers each year.
Phish passes the 25-year criterion but I don't see how the voting body would vote for Phish based on the influence and significance criteria.

Yup. Darn. A big outdoor show woulda been great.

The Citizen and other outlets have reported that the mayor will make a "historic" concert announcement Monday evening with Live Nation, for the first week of July. The Stones played here 8 years ago - I don't think that's historic. Macca has a show in Boston July 9, Ottawa would fit nicely.
Anyone heard anything more definite?
I'm guessing the show will be at the arena, but I have a crazy idea that Live Nation will pay Bluesfest to have the site ready a few days early and put the show there. That'd be great. Wonder if that is remotely likely. Probably not.
-
The schedule leaves much to be desired. Oh well. Happens every year.

If anyone sees the $85 Montreal links please post them!
-
July 4 headliner, additional acts, and full schedule TBA tomorrow, according to Bluesfest on Twitter / Facebook.

The Weber Brothers played at the Elmdale last weekend but I couldn't make it. They play good stuff!
-
Note that Montreal will be insane that weekend - it's Grand Prix weekend.
-
Hey are those times local to coachella or Eastern?
-
I love them so much. They played twice at Bonnaroo one year and we stayed for their whole set, both shows. Their live album is excellent and is probably available on the internet, if you know what I mean. They do some great covers as well.
