  1. It's the first record I've bought this year from a band I already liked that didn't have a noticeable drop-off in quality.(DBT, MMJ)

Really? MMJ? That album is rock solid and a naturally progression from Z I thought.

"It's one thing to start it with a positive jam and it's another thing to see it all through..." Check!

  2. While I liked the last two, Sea Change was the last Beck album that I really loved start to finish. It is one of the only albums I own that the musical canvas is the same as the album cover.

Makes me reeeeally love the new tunes themselves now. Gorgeous reditions in a stripped downstyle.

  4. Man's arrogance has lead us to believe that we can define, identify and even communicate with a higher power, which coincidentally looks alot like us. I believe that the reality is so beyond our comprehension that "belief" should only be replaced with "wonder".

So maybe. But not by traditional (or any ) definition.

  5. Seems to be alot of common sentiment coming up so I'll keep it brief.

I think alot of our thoughts actually have less to do with music more to due with age/maturity/station in life. Most of us can't tour anymore, having too many responisibilites. Of course our music tastes shifted. Otherwise, I'd still be going to Bon Jovi concerts. And I know that it will never be the same, but as I learned the hard way two weeks ago, you'll never be able to do things the same way you did them ten years before.

That being said, whenever my ipod shuffle throws me a Phish tune, it ALWAYS brings me around. The boys return will be all about nostalgia and quite frankly, I'm OK with that too. Better than trying to live up to 1997 every night. And when the tour swings through Toronto, or Buffalo, or wherever, I'll still give all of you who claim its over as big a hug as ever, magic hat or no.

Go on. Pick a Hood. Any Hood. Find a comfy chair or place to dance. Try not to smile. Take the Harry Hood challenge today.

  6. Scott King on why he chose his username:

To be honest, Scottie King is the only true nickname I've ever had (well, I guess Sky King and Scoots are in play, and around St Thomas I'm known as Kinger). It's not really a nickname, but does tend to get pronounced as one word - phonetically - skai-kang. Maybe that's my new username right there!

  7. Rumor has it that a certain industrialist will make an appearance in the new Hulk movie. STRONG hints for future team up movies and IMHO, the way to good. Yay, Marvel.
