    "Bonnaroo 2009 Artist Confirmations Announced

Here you have it, less than a week after Coachella’s line-up was finally released, this year’s Bonnaroo line-up has been announced. Mr. Super Bowl himself, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street band, alongside recently reunited jam-band-legends Phish, will be headlining the giant four-day music festival down in good ole Manchester, Tennessee on June 11-14.

This year’s festival will celebrate Bonnaroo’s eighth consecutive year running, and will include over 120 bands; and what a solid — if not exhausting — selection of bands it is. TV on the Radio, Wilco, The Beastie Boys, Animal Collective, Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Crystal Castles and Grizzly Bear are among the swarm of artists we are excited to see take the stage at the massive music fest.

Phish will be playing twice during the festival, which will certainly be a special treat for fans who have been waiting since 2004 for their reunion to happen. And for fans who can’t attend the monstrosity of a festival in the heart of Tennessee, they can watch it on FUSE, who will be exclusively airing live coverage of the event through both its television station and websites.

Bonnaroo organizers are also switching some things up this year, as the expensive four-day tickets will be available on a payment plan for those who are suffering from joblessness, but still need to see their favorite musical acts at a four-day fiasco of sweat, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets for Bonnaroo go on sale this Friday, February 7 at 12 noon EST. Below is the list of confirmed artists, which came with the promise of more to be announced in the coming weeks."

Mandy Moore and singer-songwriter Ryan Adams are engaged! We didn’t even know they were back together! But Moore's rep, Jillian Fowkes, confirmed the news to E!

Mandy, 24, and Ryan, 34, dated last year and split up in July. It seemed to be an amicable break-up, with Ryan calling Mandy “one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life.â€

Mandy was then linked to another one of her ex-boyfriends, DJ AM briefly. They were spotted on several occasions after his near-death plane crash.

But now Mandy and Ryan are item again! The two were even seen as recently as yesterday grocery shopping in LA. Mandy was reportedly wearing a ring on her engagement finger as well.

They definitely caught us by surprise with this one! Hopefully this time their relationship lasts"

  12. I'm still wondering why more people haven't questioned or investigated the bands about this. I've read just as many speculative articles/posts/blogs that put the musicians in the same hotseat as TM. A lot with just as many valid (although not proven) reasons why the bands themselves would have an interest in this.

Aside from Bruce' date=' or some vague apologys for the incoviences some fans endured getting tickets through TM has anyone read any other opposition or statements from musicians about this recently.

Personally, I'd think we'd hear more from the musicians. If not previous to, at least since a big name like Bruce spoke up.[/quote']

I know that one of the biggest issues for artists who want to avoid TBastard is the problem with venues for their concerts. It seems that it's a practice of TBastard to actively get local venues of all sizes to sign contracts stating that they will use TBastard for ticketsales. Once TBastard has been able to secure a majority of the venues then artists are essentially forced into using them if they want to play in a specific city.

TBastard ensures that they'll be making a cut off of every event possible. The more time that goes by, the more venues that are locked into contracts, therefore making competition almost impossible. They've already knocked out Ticketron and BASS Tickets in the past. Now, they're going to merge with LiveNation. Holdouts like Tickets.com will fall soon too.

The only way to stop them is for the public to not buy tickets. FuCK! Kinda hard to do sometimes, but it makes me think twice before I drop the coin. Sometimes you're SOL though :(

    Fuck You TicketBastard!

so if ticketmaster owns ticketnow, but is claiming that their are third party sellers selling these tickets. How much is ticketmaster pocketing from these vendors? have they ever said publicly?
