  4. I just got this band's CD. "The Go" is hard to describe. This band has an eclectic array of songs. It's sort of like old-school psychedelia, but certainly not always. Check out their myspace page. They have a few songs there, and this is cool stuff.

  9. Tiny-fraction-of-the-populace-voting? (Does that count as one word?)
  10. I can't help but remember a Grateful Dead show in Chicago, where one tripped-out individual, who shall remain nameless, stuck a NORML sticker to the back of a moving cop-car. Luckily, the car kept on driving, and the cops didn't notice that young deadhead, crouched down behind them.
  11. I can't say I hate all bumper-stickers though... eg.
  12. I've been tempted to carry around a pile of bumper stickers to address similar idiots and their idiocy. In particular, I've considered having stickers printed up to stick to the backs of Porsche or Cadillac SUVs and H1 Hummers: "I hate the environment."

  14. Well, since it's my theme I feel some responsibility for getting it finished, so I'm bumping it back onto the first page. Maybe I can give a hint, too. The Dead Kennedys have one. The slogan's used by a soup company...
  15. Well here's another interesting anecdote... Steve Goof (real name Steve Johnston) from the Bunchofuckingoofs is my cousin. Based on the stuff you saw, I'm surprised you were never at Ildiko's. Lots of small bands played there, but also touring acts. I saw DRI there, Scream, Dag Nasty, SNFU, and lots of others.

  18. A friend of mine has quite helpfully cropped me out of that photo so here ya go... StoneMtn (circa 1986):
  19. Actually, Velvet, I think you were right. I was looking at a different guy, who I thought you meant. Winner! And EvilMouse, the main difference between that photo and what I do now in Court is that I take far more abuse now.
  20. I'm basically second row centre, just off to the left, with the brown hair sort of in my face. The guy next to me, on the right (my left when I was there), was my friend Chris, with the spiky blonde hair.
  21. That was taken at Ildiko's. Before that it was called The Bridge. It was one of the main venues at the time. I was there most weekends from about 85 to 87.
  22. #294: A Questionable Theme (Song titles that are questions) 1. Snailhouse - What Are Your Coordinates? 2. Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced? 3. Bob Dylan - What Can I do For You? 4. Marvin Gaye - What's Going On? 5. nero - is it morning yet? 6. Bruce Springsteen - Does this Bus Stop at 82nd Street? 7. Rod Stewart - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? 8. Beatles - Why Don't We Do It In The Road? 9. Zappa - What Kind of Girl Do You Think We Are? 10. 11. 12.
  23. Nope. I actually had a better spot than that (and fairly big hair).
