  1. I disagree. Not all mental illnesses manifest themselves with similar symptoms, and...
  2. If I had some sort of mental disorder that caused me to leave my home and get lost regularly, I would welcome a microchip such as those in my animals. As far as microchipping children, that is a specious argument. People are expected to exercise a much higher degree of diligence in taking care of children than pets. Pets are often allowed out on their own, or escape. If that happens with young children, the parents are considered negligent. Further, whereas children will eventually get to be old enough to know their own address and communicate it, cats won't. Finally, there are civil liberty arguments favouring not microchipping children, which are entirely inapplicable to animals.
  3. I microchip all my cats. So far, I have had two returned to me over the years because of it. One was taken by a woman who purposely changed my cat's collar and put on a new tag, and would have kept my cat, had the microchip not been found. I also returned a cat to its owner due to the microchip. I am an absolute supporter of the idea.
  4. And once again, for convenience sake, link here.
  5. I am totally impressed by what Deeps did. I've had the occasion to rescue a couple of dogs running around on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, in a similar manner, and every time I found out that the owners did come and retrieve them from the shelter(s). It makes ya feel good, I must say. Three cheers for Deeps and Evans!
  6. Hmmmm. I think you might be right. For some reason, I was thinking that the site had them listed in order of appearance, but of course they would normally show the headliner first, and then list them in descending order. Anybody know of any way to find out when Plaskett's going on? I don't relish the idea of standing out in the cold for several hours waiting for him to start. If anyone has a connection and can find out his start-time, I'd really appreciate it.

  8. That makes much more sense now. Actually; pretty clever.
  9. So, I've heard a lot about this guy on the board. I think I'll check this out on Saturday. Jacksoul is also playing right after. I guess they're an RnB band. Anyone know if they're worth seeing too? Link
  10. That's a very good point. I wonder if the reason that homeless mentally-ill people can't get jobs is that they are also "crackies", or maybe there is some other reason they can't work. Either way, we say screw 'em; eh Dinghy?
  11. I think this is all part of a phase DJMelbaToast is going through; which includes listening to considerable amounts of Village People...
