  1. just posted this over on stille but though some of you guys might be interested too... i have some of these shirts left. help keep them out of my musty basement please :-)

Bucks shirts also mention waxmannequin, terra lightfoot, richard laviolette and PJC farewell:

Guys, black shirt with off-white ink - one small,a couple medium, one large and a few XL left.

Girls fitted, dark brown shirt with off white ink - a couple medium, one large and a couple XL left.

PJC farewell shirts - spiral text with over 100 bands listed, i can't remember how many:

guys, blue shirt with dark blue ink - a few small medium and large left.

girls brown on brown i only have one left, large.

fyi the girls' shirts fit kinda small so you might be ok with one size up.

i'd like to get ten bucks a shirt since i funded it all out of pocket (including mis-print losses and drunks-spilling-beer-into-entire-bag-of-shirts losses) - but if you convince me you are poorer than me then we can probably arrange a deal. I guess it's easiest to email me through the bike shop or just drop in sometime - bikehounds.ca

  2. I have a USB "sound card" which is an FM transmitter (it overpowers even a real local station so the FCC legality is probably iffy).

at some point you have to question exactly what fidelity you need in your remote rooms. Any room that you actually sit quietly specifically to listen to tunes should get a true system. For having music running all over the house while you walk around doing things, or have people over, the fm transmitter can't be beat. You can add a room to the system for the cost of a ghetto blaster at value village.

We have some small vintage radios in the kitchen and out back - the main room has real speakers for real listening. it's perfect for parties - background music.

costs <$50 and so simple... it plugs in and is recognized without drivers on win mac or linux (shows up as usb audio). There is another version that has a line in so you can run any source into it too.

  3. I am with primus, and they are pretty good - generally fast, no major tech problems -- well once in a while -- but their billing is pure crap. They bill me on a different day every month and twice now they have taken it a day or two early and the bank hit me with a NSF fee because I do all of my billing from a separate account that I keep just enough cash in for the bill payments!

It's not such a great deal anymore when you add a $40 NSF to the monthly bill..

Just wondering if there are any decent alternatives out there - I am getting local phone plus north american long distance plus high speed for $65+tax. It's a decent deal but I'm sick of their inept billing practices. Everyone else I deal with bills me on a specific calendar day-or later, None of this "surprise!" bullshit...

Is anyone getting similar services from someone else - someone better than bell, cogeco or primus?

    thanks!

  4. PJC was special from the very first visit.

Nothing compares to PJC in Hamilton, or anywhere really.

Ken, you (and your colleagues) deserve a breather - thanks for all of your hard work. Here's to a well-deserved relaxing summer. Come September, I'm hoping you get bitten by the booking bug - hard!
